Mid-Atlantic Premier League gaining momentum, expands ahead of 2024-25 season

CHARLESTON,S.C. (June 27, 2024) – The Mid-Atlantic Premier League, a new member league of the National Premier Leagues (NPL) platform beginning with the 2024-25 season, is expanding to welcome six new clubs and both boys and girls programming. The expansion comes just three months after the league celebrated its acceptance into the NPL. Previously announced as an all-girls league, the new clubs now open up a boys division and competitive depth across all age groups.

“We want to create a special environment that will allow players to excel, be competitive with friends, and achieve their goals,” said Ash Nesbit, Mid-Atlantic Premier League Boys Director. “Setting this up in the Northeast is important, as we have many talented players and good coaches. Travel can be a big obstacle, and we want to reduce that for our families across the league. I look forward to seeing this league grow and watching players take advantage of the extra exposure.”

Participating teams will compete for qualification to the 2025 NPL Finals, which will be held in July in Denver, Colorado, where qualifiers compete against other regional NPL member leagues throughout the country for championships. The NPL’s vision is to serve youth soccer by forming and collaborating with leagues, adopting the Players First philosophy and supporting US Club Soccer’s mission to foster the development of clubs.
